BEX Banking Exchange 2026 - Cash. Code. Crime. Fintech Konferenz Frankfurt 2026

BEX26 in Frankfurt

BEX Banking Exchange 2026 brings professionals from banking, fintech, payments and regulation together in Frankfurt am Main on 4 November. The one-day conference takes place under the BEX Underground theme.

The conference combines discussions about current banking developments with opportunities to meet peers from across the sector. Payment & Banking organizes BEX at Massif Central, and the conference is held in German.

Since 2017, the Banking Exchange has been the annual get-together for Germany's banking and fintech industry. The boutique event follows an edutainment approach.

Date, venue and language

The conference takes place on Wednesday, 4 November 2026, at Massif Central, Bethmannstraße 7–9, in Frankfurt am Main. Doors open at 8:30 a.m., and the program begins at 9 a.m.

The conference is held in German. The program includes keynotes, panel discussions and networking breaks; the evening party is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m.

Payments, AI and fraud on the agenda

The payment sessions cover tokens, stablecoins and the digital euro, alongside the future of cards. The Cash theme also covers instant payments and the role of digital wallets. A separate discussion examines B2B and corporate payments, including their connection to treasury operations and business software.

Agentic banking is another focus: AI systems that perform banking tasks with some autonomy raise questions about control, liability and regulation. Sessions on neobanks and platform companies examine who controls the customer relationship, while the closing keynote addresses cloud-based banking architecture. The Code theme includes embedded finance and the use of large language models at the customer interface.

The session on identity and fraud covers deepfakes, money laundering and authorized push payment fraud, where customers are deceived into making payments themselves. The discussion connects fraud prevention with the practical difficulty of verifying who is behind a transaction. The Crime theme connects these issues with know-your-customer (KYC) checks.
