Kaiko
Kaiko is a crypto data company that collects trades and order books from crypto exchanges and turns them into data feeds, analytics and benchmark prices. Banks, asset managers, exchanges and trading firms use this data to price positions, check the quality of their trade execution and monitor markets. Kaiko has worked with crypto market data for more than ten years and gives its address as 115 West 30th Street in New York.
Ambre Soubiran is the chief executive of Kaiko. In 2026 the company bought Cometh, a firm for onchain infrastructure, and then Amberdata, a United States provider of derivatives analytics. S&P Global led a strategic investment in Kaiko that extended its Series B funding round to 110 million dollars.
Crypto market data and API
The data products of Kaiko cover reference data, trades and level 1 and level 2 order books from more than 200 exchanges, with over 20,000 digital assets on more than 20 blockchains. Clients receive the data through an API, through streams and as historical files. The analytics products calculate fair market values, measure best execution for trading desks and watch markets for unusual activity, and Kaiko serves more than 200 enterprise clients worldwide.
Kaiko Research publishes market reports and a ranking of crypto exchanges. Asset managers and compliance teams use such a ranking when they decide which exchanges may count in a valuation or a benchmark.
Reference rates and indices
Kaiko Indices publishes single-asset reference rates for crypto markets, multi-asset indices and reference rates for capital markets such as equities and ETFs. Kaiko states that its crypto reference rates are administered in line with the IOSCO Principles for Financial Benchmarks, and the company holds a SOC 2 Type II certification. Its index business works as a benchmark administrator under the EU Benchmarks Regulation, so fund and ETP issuers in Europe can license the rates for regulated products.
Amberdata and Cometh acquisitions
On 2 June 2026 Kaiko announced the purchase of Amberdata, two weeks after the acquisition of Cometh, and called it the fifth acquisition in its history. Amberdata added derivatives analytics, including the GVOL platform for crypto options, plus onchain data and AI research tools. The parties kept the price and the other terms of the deal confidential.
