Networking events in Frankfurt for finance and tech

Most networking events in Frankfurt draw people from banks, asset managers, fintechs and IT firms, because the city is home to the European Central Bank, the Deutsche Bundesbank and Deutsche Börse. Below are the formats you find, from evening meetups at TechQuartier to conference side events, and the ones Finance Loop runs. Dated events are in the calendar further down.

What networking in Frankfurt looks like

The general offer is wide. The Frankfurt networking listings on Eventbrite run from after-work networking and business breakfasts to dinners and conferences. On Meetup, the large Frankfurt groups include an artificial intelligence meetup with more than 11,000 members, the founder meetups of Main Valley and a Toastmasters public speaking club. Most of these evenings are open to anyone and mix industries.

For people in finance, the useful rooms are narrower. FinTech FFM Meetups, a Meetup group with more than 4,100 members, meets every six to eight weeks for short talks, three fintech pitches and open networking. Frankfurt Main Finance, the voice of the Frankfurt financial center, runs its own formats for member institutions. Referral groups such as BNI meet once a week at breakfast time; they suit owners of small firms more than bank employees.

Where finance and tech people meet in Frankfurt

TechQuartier at Platz der Einheit, a few minutes on foot from the main station and the financial district, hosts many of the city's fintech and finance meetups and connects more than 650 startups with corporates, investors and universities. Across the street, the NFT Skybar sits about 180 meters above ground in the ONE tower, with free entry, and is where many people go on after an event.

The busiest weeks follow the large conferences. When the Crypto Assets Conference and the Digital Euro Conference bring bankers, supervisors and founders to Frankfurt in spring, side events fill the evenings around them. Frankfurt Digital Finance at the Gesellschaftshaus Palmengarten has the same effect.

Finance Loop events in Frankfurt

Finance Loop started in Frankfurt and is based at TechQuartier. Its own evenings keep the room to people who work on the same questions. The Digital Finance Night is built for people from banks, asset managers, market infrastructure and regulated providers: short talks and a moderated Q&A, then networking over food and drinks. TechClub 25/3 was an afterwork party at TechQuartier for the finance, fintech and crypto crowd in the week of the Crypto Assets Conference. Panels such as the Chainlink panel before CAC 2024, pictured above, end with a happy hour.

Finance Loop also partners with evenings that others run. The FinTech Founder & Investor Evening of Finteda, Schalast and Fincite brings around 60 founders and investors together, and the Sibos 2025 side event at TechQuartier was hosted with Frankfurt Main Finance and OKX Institutional.
