Frankfurt has several networks for women who work in banking, asset management and fintech, from a network with more than 6,000 members to the German committee of 100 Women in Finance. Their formats include workshops and networking evenings.
Networks for women in finance
Fondsfrauen calls itself the leading network for women in the financial industry. More than 6,000 women and over 90 companies take part, and the network runs more than 80 events a year in over 13 cities across Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Luxembourg and the UK: business lunches, afterwork evenings, digital lunch talks and the Fondsfrauen Gipfel with more than 500 participants. It also has a mentoring program.
100 Women in Finance works on the global finance industry with the aim of helping women reach their professional potential at each career stage. Its Germany committee, set up in 2021, is a group of volunteers from firms such as Allianz Global Investors, Wellington Management and Deloitte who plan peer engagement, impact and education events. Women in Finance e.V. is a registered association with a Frankfurt address.
Women in fintech, startups and digital assets
For women who found or build fintechs, the city's startup side has its own programs. Frankfurt Forward, a project of the City of Frankfurt and a strategic partner of Finance Loop, runs a Female Founders Programm next to Startup of the Year and CEO meets CEO. The Frankfurt School Blockchain Center ran the DLT Talents program, which gave women education and opportunities in the blockchain sector.
Women who explain money on social media have an award category of their own: the Finfluencer Circle Award added Female Finance to its categories, next to Investment, Financial Education, M&A and Finance Book.
Finance Loop and women in finance
Finance Loop events are open to everyone who works on finance and technology, and Finance Loop runs no women-only format. Panels, meetups and evenings such as the Digital Finance Night bring people from banks, asset managers and fintechs into one room.
