Stockholm Fintech Week
Stockholm Fintech Week is the Swedish fintech conference, and it calls itself the most important event for Nordic fintech. The next edition, the ninth, runs on March 17 and 18, 2027: a day of side events across Stockholm, then a conference day.
If you work in payments or wealth management in Germany and want to see how Swedish banks and fintechs use AI agents and instant payments, this is the week when they are in one city. The organizers describe it as an event built by the ecosystem, for the ecosystem.
Who organizes Stockholm Fintech Week
Stockholm Fintech and Nordic Fintech Magazine organize the week with support from the Swedish and Nordic fintech sector. Banks and fintech companies meet regulators and investors for discussions across the two-day program.
The former Stockholm Fintech Hub has closed. Stockholm Fintech Week provides a meeting point for the Swedish industry; fintech in Stockholm and Copenhagen covers the financial services market.
Program and tracks
The conference day runs on three stages, a keynote stage, a panel stage and a smaller stage. The program of the latest edition had 12 panels, 13 keynotes and 14 fireside chats on that one day. The side events day before it is spread over venues across Stockholm and announced closer to the date.
The tracks show where Swedish finance stands: agentic AI in finance, with AI agents in credit, fraud, customer service and payments; embedded finance, with banking as a platform and instant payment rails; wealthtech, under the heading of Sweden as an investment nation; cyber resilience under NIS2, DORA, PSD3 and the planned FiDA rules; and fintech across borders.
Why Stockholm matters for German payments
Sweden is the country where cash nearly left daily life. Swish, the mobile payment app of the Swedish banks, moves money between phone numbers in seconds, and the Riksbank tells households to keep some cash at home for a disruption. Both stories are on the Nordic fintech page.
German banks face the same questions with Wero and instant payments, a few years later. A day of Swedish panels on embedded finance and payment rails gives a German payments team the experience of a market that has already moved, as covered at instant payments in Europe.

Stockholm Fintech Week and Finance Loop
Finance Loop follows the Nordic conference calendar for its members because the Swedish payments market shows German banks what comes after cash. Finance Loop holds its own events in Frankfurt, Munich, Berlin and Hamburg and organizes delegations to finance hubs across Europe. A Swedish fintech that wants to meet German banks can present at a Finance Loop meetup or a webinar, and the free Network Membership brings the invitations.
Finance Loop is a professional network and has the goal of driving the adoption of emerging technologies in finance, such as AI, digital payments, cloud and blockchain solutions. Finance Loop helps its members build skills and personal networks in these fields: Investment & Digital Assets, Payments & Digital Money, Digital Infrastructure & Sovereignty, and Risk & Compliance.
