About KI Exchange 2026 (KEX26)
Artificial intelligence is moving from buzzword to backbone. As autonomous credit processes, AI-driven compliance, and intelligent agents in customer service mature, AI is quietly turning into the new infrastructure layer of finance, reshaping how banks, fintechs, and regulators work together.
On June 23, 2026, the KI Exchange 2026 (KEX26) brings together voices from technology, regulation, the start-up world, and established institutions at the Prototyp Automuseum in Hamburg. The conference is hosted by Payment & Banking, deliberately favoring concrete applications over visions.
The program centers on three themes. The first is sovereign AI infrastructure, the question of how European banks and fintechs can compete globally with independent AI systems. The second is practical application: agentic banking, AI governance and DORA compliance, fraud detection, insurtech, and tax automation, drawn from real operational experience. The third is responsibility and governance, the transparency and trustworthiness that self-learning systems demand, and Europe's balancing act between innovation and regulation. Speakers are expected from across the industry, including voices from OpenAI and the German regulator BaFin.
Beyond the panels, the format mixes an AI Demo Stage, Ethical Design Sessions, Lightning Talks, and interactive networking spaces, leaving ample room to connect with the people building the next layer of financial infrastructure. Tickets are available through the official ticket shop, and full details can be found on the event website.
The KI Exchange (KEX26) is a new conference format from Payment & Banking exploring how artificial intelligence is becoming the new financial infrastructure across banking, fintech, and regulation.
