Ackee Blockchain
Ackee Blockchain Security is a team of auditors and security researchers that reviews smart contracts on Ethereum, Solana and other EVM chains before they go live. Each audit combines manual code review with extensive fuzz testing, and Ackee also builds open-source testing tools and teaches developers how to write secure blockchain code.
The company is registered as Ackee Blockchain a.s. in Prague, Czech Republic, and its co-founder and chief executive Josef Gattermayer is an assistant professor at the Czech Technical University. Across 220 audits, Ackee has found more than 2,500 issues in client code, and about one in ten of them was rated critical or high.
Audits with manual review and fuzzing
The auditors of Ackee read the code by hand and run fuzzers that call contracts with large numbers of generated inputs, which finds bugs that appear only in rare orderings of transactions. Clients can book a one-time audit or a long-term security partnership, and Ackee works as a long-term partner for Lido, Safe, Aave, Kamino and Axelar.
According to its own figures for December 2025, Ackee finds a critical or high issue every eight working days. Each report names the reviewed code version, because a smart contract audit says nothing about code changed after the review.
Wake and Trident, the open-source tools
Wake is a Python-based development and testing framework for Solidity with cross-chain fuzzing, and a Wake extension brings testing into Visual Studio Code. Trident is a Rust framework for fuzz and integration tests of Solana programs, and with both tools Ackee researchers have found medium to critical vulnerabilities in leading protocols.
Coinbase funded Wake with a development grant, and the Solana Foundation funded Trident. Wake Arena, the newest product, is a multi-agent AI audit that reasons over a graph of the code under review.
School of Solana and teaching at CTU
Ackee teaches EVM and blockchain security at the Czech Technical University in Prague, in courses led by Josef Gattermayer. As an educational partner of the Solana Foundation, Ackee also runs the School of Solana, a course in Rust and Solana development that ends with a certificate, and the Solana Auditors Bootcamp, which trains developers to audit Solana programs themselves.
Upcoming fintech and finance events in Europe
Ackee Blockchain a.s. in Prague
Ackee Blockchain a.s. has its office at Rohanske nabrezi 717/4 in Prague 8, in the Karlín district by the Vltava river. Josef Gattermayer earned his doctorate in distributed systems at the Czech Technical University and speaks regularly at blockchain conferences such as Devcon and Solana Breakpoint.
Prague also hosts BTC Prague, one of the largest Bitcoin events in Europe, and many Czech fintech firms are members of the Czech Fintech Association.
Ackee Blockchain Security and Finance Loop
Asset managers and banks in the Finance Loop network that issue tokens or use DeFi protocols such as Aave depend on smart contracts written by others. Finance Loop brings their teams together with auditors and developers, so they can compare how they review a protocol before they commit client assets to it.
Finance Loop is a professional network and has the goal of driving the institutional use of emerging technologies in finance, such as AI, tokenization, stablecoins, and DeFi. Finance Loop helps its members build skills and personal networks in these fields: Investment & Digital Assets, Payments & Digital Money, Digital Infrastructure & Sovereignty, and Risk & Compliance.
