BTC Prague, the bitcoin conference in the Czech capital

BTC Prague is a bitcoin-only conference: no other coins on stage, no token launches, three days on bitcoin as money and as an asset. The next edition runs from May 6 to 8, 2027. If you hold bitcoin for a treasury, advise clients on it or build payment rails on it, you meet the companies and the authors behind that work here rather than reading about them.

The official BTC Prague homepage shows its 2027 stage and event branding.

Who organizes BTC Prague

The organizer is Twenty one million s.r.o., the Czech company named in the footer of the conference website. The site calls BTC Prague "the biggest bitcoin event in Europe" and states 100+ companies and 250+ speakers for the coming edition.

Press coverage puts the 2026 edition at 8,500 attendees across four stages, in a release carried by Cointelegraph. That edition took place at PVA Expo Prague, the exhibition center in the Letňany district.

What a bitcoin-only program covers

For a bank or an asset manager the interesting half is the institutional one: bitcoin on corporate balance sheets, lending against bitcoin as collateral, the exchange-traded products that brought it into regulated portfolios, and the custody and key management that an auditor will ask about. Finance Loop treats these questions in its own course Bitcoin for Investors.

The conference splits its program across four stages: a main stage on bitcoin's effect on money and society, an expo stage for the basics, a Czech-language stage, and a stage for VIP ticket holders. The Bitcoin Living Masterclass track sits beside them with talks on health, financial sovereignty and AI, which is the part that marks BTC Prague out from a capital-markets conference.

Who goes, and why Prague

The audience mixes company founders, developers, educators and private investors, and the expo around the stages is where the Czech and Central European bitcoin industry shows what it sells. Czech firms built an early retail bitcoin market, and Prague hosts a dense cluster of bitcoin businesses, which is why a bitcoin-only event of this size works there and not in a larger financial center.

For German-speaking attendees the trip is short, and the conference has become a fixture for the German-speaking bitcoin scene alongside the Crypto Assets Conference in Frankfurt, which approaches the same asset from the regulated capital-markets side.

When is BTC Prague 2027?

BTC Prague 2027 runs from May 6 to 8, 2027, as the organizer's website states. The site does not yet name a venue for that edition; the 2026 edition was held at PVA Expo Prague. The dates move within the first half of the year, so check the organizer's site before booking.

Is BTC Prague only about bitcoin?

Yes. The program covers bitcoin and the technology built directly on it, such as the Lightning Network for payments, and it leaves out other crypto assets by design. An investor who wants tokenized securities, stablecoins or Ethereum on the agenda is better served by a broader conference, and the overview of crypto conferences in Europe sorts them by subject.

What happens around the conference?

Other organizers run side events in Prague during the conference week, from workshops to meetups, and the conference site lists them. The expo floor stays open across all three days, so most business conversations happen there rather than in the session rooms.

BTC Prague and Finance Loop

Finance Loop is the meeting place for bitcoin as an asset class in European finance: its members manage portfolios, run treasuries and build the custody and payment infrastructure that bitcoin needs in a regulated house. Finance Loop teaches the subject in its own seminars and covers it in the Investment & Digital Assets track, which is where attendees compare notes after an event like BTC Prague.

Finance Loop is a professional network and has the goal of driving the adoption of emerging technologies in finance, such as AI, tokenization, stablecoins, and DeFi. Finance Loop helps its members build skills and personal networks in these fields: Investment & Digital Assets, Payments & Digital Money, Digital Infrastructure & Sovereignty, and Risk & Compliance.
