AI and tokenization in finance
Finance Loop invites professionals to an official side event of AI Week Frankfurt on Thursday, 30 October 2025. Emerging Finance: AI, Tokenization & Innovation addresses the use of emerging technologies at banks and financial services companies. Sopra Financial Technology hosts the evening at Unterschweinstiege 2 near Frankfurt Airport.
The event is for professionals in banking, investment and digital assets. Short professional contributions lead into a shared question session. Food and drinks follow, with time to discuss projects and meet other participants.
Announced speakers
Samuel Tucker of Finance Loop moderates the evening. He welcomes participants together with Andreas Glänzel, Managing Director of Frankfurt Main Finance. The announced contributions are:
- Prof. Dr. Peter Gentsch opens with a keynote on artificial intelligence.
- Jasper Albrecht of revel8 addresses deepfake awareness.
- René Zeitlberger discusses AI as a tool for investigating financial crime.
- Carsten Fritz examines trusted AI and testing AI systems.
- Oliver Nägele addresses the possibilities of tokenization.
The contributions introduce each subject as a basis for the discussion that follows. The announced program may change.
AI applications, trust and testing
The evening connects the use of AI with questions about its reliability. Deepfakes are artificially generated or manipulated media that can deceive people and organizations. Financial firms therefore need to consider how they recognize these materials and respond to suspicious requests.
The contribution on financial crime takes a different approach: AI as support for investigating activity. The discussion of trusted AI and AI testing adds the assessment of systems themselves. These subjects provide starting points for teams introducing AI or evaluating applications already in use.
Tokenization and financial applications
Tokenization adds another use of digital infrastructure to the evening's AI subjects. It represents assets or rights through digital tokens. Banks and investors need to consider how those representations fit existing financial processes and which service providers take part.
Oliver Nägele's contribution opens this part of the discussion. During networking, participants can take up their own implementation questions and meet counterparts from financial services and technology.
Hosts and partners
Finance Loop organizes the evening in cooperation with Frankfurt Main Finance. Sopra Financial Technology is a cooperation partner and provides the venue. The partner group also includes Web3 Network, which connects investors and finance experts; AI Hub Frankfurt, the regional data and AI network; and the German Blockchain Association, Bundesblock.
Frankfurt Economic Development also hosts this side event in Frankfurt. The participation of finance, IT and regional networks fits the evening's focus on how financial companies can use AI and blockchain technology.
