GeckoTerminal and onchain prices
GeckoTerminal shows live price charts, liquidity and trades of tokens on decentralized exchanges across many blockchains. It covers tokens that trade only on DEXs, which a list built from centralized exchanges does not show. Prices on a DEX come from liquidity pools instead of an order book, one of the differences between DEX and CEX venues.
Trust Score and exchange data
CoinGecko introduced its Trust Score in May 2019 to counter fake trading volume reported by some exchanges. The score rates exchanges and trading pairs on liquidity, scale of operations and other factors, so a user can see which volume figures to trust.
