Banking conference
Banking conferences are professional gatherings for bank leaders and specialists who need to understand changes in their industry. Programs cover subjects such as balance sheet management, core banking systems and supervisory requirements. Banks meet peers, advisers and technology providers to discuss how these developments affect their operations and business decisions.
Frankfurt hosts banking conferences in a city that is home to the ECB, the Bundesbank and one of the two official seats of BaFin. European conferences also include summits dedicated to transaction banking and payments. Choosing a relevant program and participant group helps professionals compare approaches and discuss implementation with people working on the same subjects.
Banking conferences in Frankfurt
The KPMG Banking Day is a conference for decision-makers in credit institutions, and KPMG may turn away registrations from outside that group. The program of KPMG Banking Day covers tail risks, AI in banking that has to prove its value, transformation projects and operational resilience. Banking Exchange by Payment & Banking brings the German banking and fintech industry together and charges bank staff less than service providers.
The International Financial Standards Conference of Börsen-Zeitung brings regulators, standard setters, auditors and finance leaders together on financial reporting and regulation; Finance Loop was media partner of the 2025 edition. The Frankfurt Quantum Finance Forum at Frankfurt School, with Finance Loop as partner, takes up the risk that quantum computers pose to the cryptography banks use.
AI and technology in banking
AI in banking has become a conference category of its own. fAInance of Sopra Steria and Fraunhofer IAIS is an AI conference for financial institutions, and KI Exchange in Hamburg, also by Payment & Banking, treats AI as infrastructure for banks and fintechs. Both deal with questions a supervised bank has to answer: model risk, the EU AI Act and DORA. AI in banking in Germany covers the subject itself.
Outside Germany, EBAday is the summit for payments and transaction banking executives, run by Finextra with the Euro Banking Association, and Money20/20 Europe in Amsterdam has banking and payments as its two main subjects.
